Looking back on the last week in Calgary, I must confess that the two World Cups didn't go well. In slopestyle I finished 23rd. And in the halfpipe - I fell twice! You always aim for something good and if it doesn't come out you are disappointed.
But also, I have to say that I'm pretty stoked with what happened here in Canada. Guess what, although I started to ride halfpipe in contests just one and a half years ago in New Zealand, I was able to stick my first ever frontside 1080 in the pipe. Yeah! Well, there are riders who do way better tricks, stomp double corks etc. but it's the best feeling when you stick new tricks.
It was good that I was able to ride some good pipes here as we don't have many opportunities to ride halfpipe in the Czech Republic. But hey, I will keep on trying new things, keep on improving my riding. That's what it's all about...
...and well, sometimes finding some place to stay, too. I have to find a room for the next week. Want to stay in Calgary for the next contest. So cross fingers.
