For the first time ever, the biggest event for young guns takes place in Eastern Anatolia.
“We are proud to host FIS Snowboard Junior World Championships for the first time. We believe that we will perform this highly challenging task most successfully,” says Dr. Özer Ayik, President of the Turkish Ski Federation.
From Saturday, March 2nd, thru Sunday, March 10th, the Junior worlds will be staged in Erzurum featuring a total of six medal decisions for both, women and men.
As a result, 36 medals will be awarded in the Palandoeken Ski Resort, the venue which successfully hosted the 2011 Winter Universiade, the Winter Games for students.
For the first time ever, a snowboard cross team event will be part of the FIS Snowboard Junior World Championships.

Parallel
The slope is 567 meters long and 60 meters wide with a vertical drop of 152 meters and an average steepness of 28%.
Snowboard Cross
The course is 734 meters long and 30-50 meters wide with a vertical drop of 178 meters and an average steepness of 25%.
Halfpipe
172 meters long, 5.8 meters high with a width lip to lip (WLTL) of 18 meters, with a width bottom section (WB) of 5 meters and an average steepness of 17.5%.
Slopestyle
The course is 744 meters long and 20-30 meters wide with a vertical drop of 187 meters and an average steepness of 26%.
