All set for SBX World Cup at Sochi

Saturday, February 15, will bring the time trials for the season's fourth FIS Snowboard World Cup snowboard cross event.

Staged as Olympic test event for the Sochi 2014 Winter Games, the Swedish course shapers David Ny and Anders Forsell put together a challenging and fun course featuring everything riders are looking for.

As a result, the world's best athletes were stoked about the design after today's official training session.

Especially as the shaper team was able to provide a wide line including big jumps; something not really to expect facing springlike temperatures at the “Extreme Park” in Rosa Khutor.

According to this, organisers as well as racers are looking forward to the official qualifiers which kick off tomorrow with the men at 9:45 AM (6:45 CET). The women's time trials are scheduled for 1 PM (10 AM CET).

This is how 71 men and 37 women will enter the competition:
