Belle Brockhoff and Nikolay Olyunin win first SBX ANC at Cardrona

Belle Brockhoff (AUS) and Nikolay Olyunin (RUS) have won the first of two FIS ANC Continental Cups to be held at Cardrona Alpine Ski Resort, New Zealand.

On the women's side, Australian rider Brockhoff edged off Alexandra Jekova and Jacqueline Hernandez (USA) to second and third while Karen Koybashi (USA) had to be satisfied with rank four.

In the men's finals of the first Cardrona event which was replacing the cancelled Mt Hotham race, Olyunin held the upper hand over Aussies Cameron Bolton and Andrew Fisher.
Stian Sivertzen of Norway, who had been racing with a board lent from Nick Baumgartner (USA, 9th) finished in fourth position.

Tomorrow will bring race #2 again featuring international top riders like Jekova, Nate Holland (USA) or reigning World Champion Alex Pullin (AUS).
