Canadian Boarder Cross Team Just Finished Dryland Training Camp

In order to create the fitness basics for the next weeks and months, the Canadian boarder cross team did a dryland training camp in Vancouver.

Over the course of the past two months, the squad trained six days a week in Vancouver.

As well as working at the gym the riders did activities such as trampoline, paddle boarding, swimming, road biking, BMX, skateboarding, yoga etc., etc.

The whole camp wrapped up with an event called “Amazing Race”.

The relay kicked off with a ride from Mt. Highway to Kits point (21.3 km) where the team had to swim 822 meters in the Kits outdoor pool.

Then, every one had to run 6.2 km along the seawall to the science center while getting done 100 sit-ups, 100 body weight squats, 100 push-ups, 100 pull-ups and 100 lunges.

Then, it was time for a ride from Science World to Seymour Parkway (13.3 km) before finishing things off with a run on Baden Powell Trail over the Mountain to Deep Cove (7.4 km).
