While on the women's side, a handful of riders have theoretical chances to be crowned Parallel Overall World Cup Champion, its only two rivals on the men's side who battle for the Crystal Globe at the FIS Snowboard World Cup finals in Sierra Nevada, Spain.
And just like last season Andreas Prommegger and Roland Fischnaller are the duellers.
Once again, the 32-years-old Austrian enters the final PGS with a so-called comfortable lead knowing that it's not over yet if the events of the past season repeat.
Back in 2012, his main pursuer from South Tyrol won in Valmalenco and almost passed Prommegger in the standings, who in the end was able to claim the title with the mere lead of 20 points (see photo)
This season, Prommegger sits in first with 5,060 points and thus 580 points ahead of Fischnaller (4,480).
According to this, tension is high again, when the final race will be staged on Wednesday, March 20.
