Elena Koenz and Jonas Boesiger new Swiss Freestyle Champions

25-years-old Elena Koenz from Vna and 17-years-old young gun Jonas Boesiger from Rickenbach have been crowned 2012 Swiss National Freestyle Champions in Zermatt last weekend.

Bringing home rank two in the big air contest and rank three in the halfpipe were equal to the top spot in the overall freestyle ranking for Koenz who edged off Isabel Derungs and Lea Djukic to second and third.

On the men's side, Lucien Koch and and Jonas Zbinden rounded out the podium as second and third.

Not on the podium but earning his third consecutive Big Air National Championship was Pat Burgener from Crans-Montana. Second and third went to Joel Staub and Max Buri.

Lucien Koch became the new Halfpipe Champion ahead of Jonas Boesiger and Luc Eichmann.

On the women's side, Isabel Derungs won the big air contest ahead of Elena Koenz and Celia Petrig while Nadja Purtschert earned her career's first national halfpipe Gold winning over Ursina Haller and Elena Koenz.
