Eva Samkova and Lucas Eguibar new SBX Junior World Champions

Czech rider Eva Samkova, who just won here career's first World Cup race a few weeks ago and Spaniard Lucas Eguibar have crowned themselves FIS Junior World Champions in the snowboard cross discipline.
While Samkova took home her career's third Gold at Junior World Championships after 2010 and 2011, it was title #1 for Eguibar.
Samkova won the women's finals ahead of Chloe Trespeuch (FRA) and Michela Moioli (ITA).
On the men's side of things, Eguibar edged off 2012 champion Alessandro Haemmerle (AUT) and Jerome Lymann (SUI) to second and third.
