Karl underwent surgery after motor bike crash

2010 Olympic PGS Silver medalist Benjamin Karl had to undergo surgery after he crashed with his motor bike last Saturday.

The three-time World Cup title winner and World Champion had slipped away with his bike on loose gravel in the Sappada region in Italy and thus tore the ligaments in his left ankle.

In addition, he also suffered a ligament strain in his right thumb.

The 26-years-old will be able to start rehab in about two weeks.

According to the doctors, Karl, who will becoming a father in June, will be able to start a real preparation for the next season in six weeks – at the earliest.
