After the snowboard cross in Bad Gastein had to be cancelled due to the lack of snow beginning of this week, a twist of fate has brought the Austrian World Cup venue back on schedule.

As Veysonnaz in Switzerland will take over duty for the sbx and thus will host two snowboard cross races (JAN 18-22), the parallel slalom will be transferred from the Swiss resort to Bad Gastein (JAN 15) as there is still enough snow to handle a psl on Buchebenskiwiese.
