LG Snowboard FIS World Cup continues in Switzerland with a host debut
All smiles after winning the last race in Bad Gastein: Nate Holland and Lindsey Jacobellis

Tomorrow brings another first of this season's LG Snowboard FIS World Cup as Veysonnaz will host its first ever competition of this world wide tour. The Swiss winter sport resort welcomes the world's elite in order to compete in the season's fourth snowboard cross race - it will be the last chance for all of those athletes to fulfil the minimum criteria in order to be able to go to the Olympics.

While there are a few riders who still have to struggle for getting their top 30 World Cup finish or the minimum FIS points, some cracks are all set already looking forward to a pretty nice course. Two of them are Lindsey Jacobellis and Nate Holland who lead a strong US-American squad into the competition after everyone had to travel about nine hours in the car from Bad Gastein to Veysonnaz.

The duo aims for back-to-back wins after both were able to bring defeat on Maelle Ricker (CAN) and Pierre Vaultier (FRAU) who had both been unbeaten in the season so far.

However, get ready for some mind blasting action on the slope as the qualifiers will take place tomorrow determining the heats for the finals coming up on January 15th.
