Vancouver 2010 halfpipe gold medallists Torah Bright has been named a joint recipient of the Ski & Snowboard Australia Athlete of the Year award for 2010.

Together with Lydia Lassila who had claimed Gold in the Arial Skiing, Bright took the Australian's top winter sport honour for the first time. Before, the 23-years-old had been named Snowboard Athlete of the Year on three previous occasions.

The families' success was topped with her brother Ben being awarded as joint Coach of the Year.

Also to mention on this point: another snowboard athlete was among the decorated athletes. The Snow Australia Junior Athlete of the Year award went to Vancouver halfpipe Olympian Scott James, the youngest male competitor at the 2010 Games.
