In just one month, the FIS Snowboard World Cup enters a new season. End of August, the freestyle snowboarders will kick of the 2012/2013 winter in New Zealand.
Cardrona Alpine Resort will host the season's first halfpipe event in its superpipe just like last year.
Wrapping up the 2012 Winter Gamez NZ consisting of a ski and snowboard halfpipe competition, this year's sole World Cup stop in the Southern hemisphere will take place on August 25 (qualifiers) and 26 (semi finals and finals).
The season's opener is also the first contest counting for the Olympic qualification period which began beginning of July.

Saturday, August 25: Qualifiers Women and Men at 8:45 AM
Sunday, August 26: Semi finals Women and Men at 10 AM
Finals Women and Men at 12 PM
