When aiming for some snow holidays in the Southern hemisphere, Argentina has some nice resorts in store. One of them is Cerro Chapelco, the most attractive resort in the Patagonian Andes. So, no wonder that the LG Snowboard FIS World Cup decided to hold the very first race on Argentinean soil in Chapelco. On September 12th and 13th, a snowboard cross race kicked of the sbx 2009 season. In 2010, another first full action race took place on the slopes of Chapelco.

Fot the 2011 season, the World Cup season's opener had - unfortunately - to be cancelled.
