VENUE DESCRIPTION
Sudelfeld is Germany's biggest connected ski area with a total of 31 kilometres of slopes (5 km easy, 23 km intermediate and 3 km advanced). The family friendly ski resort provides three chair lifts and many t-bar lifts making it a modern and natural-looking winter sport areal which has the first reported skiing activities dating back to the beginning of the 20th century.

 

Situated in the Upper Bavarian Alps, Sudelfeld benefits from perfect infrastructure and outstanding transport connections. As Munich is only a one-hour-drive away, the resort in Bayrischzell attracts the inhabitants of the Bavarian capital who are looking for a cool day in the snow.

 

In addition, Sudelfeld can be reached with the train. Starting in Munich, the trip takes about 1.5 hours. A special ticket includes the day pass plus the travel expenses. So, everyone gets the chance to ride the slopes from December to April during the operating hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.

 

In 2012, the third parallel giant slalom will be hosted - and it will be interesting to find out if Andreas Prommegger (AUT) will be able to post the three-peat!
