Have any of your relatives played sport at a high level?
My brother Jayme competed on the snowboarding World Cup from 1991-93.
Why and how did you start snowboarding?
I started to snowboard for the potential it had to offer. It was really fun and a change from skiing.
What is your first memory of snowboarding?
Being at the top of the run thinking how much fun this was going to be.
Why is snowboarding so much fun to you?
Feeling the energy in a carve, and being able to harness this energy.
Who has had the most influence on your snowboarding career and why?
My first coach as a pro, Jerry Masterpool. For the first time in my life I was exposed to work ethics that stayed with me for the rest of my life. Masterpool taught me most of the techniques I use today. He was intense, moral and he demanded our best. Also Brett Carpentier got me to love snowboarding before I even set foot on a board.

What is the most memorable moment you had in your career?
Winning two world titles (PGS, PSL) at the FIS World Snowboard Championships Whistler 2005… in the rain.
